Filozy's live document tools process your files in your browser. Using those local tools does not send us your documents. Email correspondence is separate, as explained below.
Document responsibilities and service limitations are explained in our Terms of use. Neither those terms nor this policy removes privacy rights or responsibilities that apply by law.
Who operates Filozy
Operator: Filozy, operating from Ontario, Canada.
For privacy questions or requests, email [email protected]. Please do not include document contents, passwords or identity documents unless they are specifically needed and requested.
If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you send so we can respond and handle your request. Email is separate from the local PDF tools and is handled through Gmail; Google's privacy policy explains that service's processing. Correspondence is kept only as needed to handle the request and meet applicable legal obligations, not for advertising or profiling.
If you attach a document or paste its contents into an email, we receive that information too. Local-tool privacy protections do not apply to sending an email. Prefer a description of the problem or a sample with personal and confidential information removed.
Documents you choose
For tools marked as running on your device, the selected file, filename and finished result remain in your browser. Filozy does not create an account or keep a server copy of those documents. Unsaved work can be lost when you close the tab, clear site data or leave the page.
Filozy does not inspect, approve or verify the ownership or lawfulness of files opened in local tools, and does not receive their contents for storage, analysis or sale. You decide which documents to open and where to send the results. Only process information you are authorised to use, including information about other people. This does not remove our responsibilities for personal information we actually process.
If you choose Share or save, your device can hand the completed file to an app or storage provider you select. That destination may upload or keep a copy under its own policies. Filozy does not choose the destination or confirm that sharing saved a copy. Downloaded and shared copies are not removed by clearing this website's local data.
Public web-page conversion
Public web-page-to-PDF conversion is not currently available. Unlike local document tools, it would send the URL to a server to retrieve the page and its linked resources. We will explain its processing before enabling it. Do not submit private, authenticated or confidential addresses, or links containing personal information or access tokens. Your own PDF documents are not involved in that request.
Cookies, analytics and advertising
Filozy's advertising policy applies whenever advertising appears on the site. Advertising is reserved for eligible informational content, separate from file selection, document previews, editing, processing, results, download controls and connected workflows. A publisher ownership-verification tag identifies Filozy to AdSense; the tag itself does not request advertisements or set advertising cookies.
When an ad is served, third-party vendors, including Google and its advertising partners, may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses and other identifiers to deliver, measure and secure advertising. Where permitted, advertising cookies may personalise ads based on visits to this and other websites. Advertising that requires permission must wait for that permission. Our launch requirements include an applicable consent message, clear provider and purpose information, a way to reject optional processing and a way to revisit or withdraw choices. Continuing to use a PDF tool is not consent. Where required, Global Privacy Control and applicable sale or sharing opt-outs must be honoured. Google-certified consent management is required for personalised ads in the EEA, UK and Switzerland.
You can manage personalised Google advertising through My Ad Center and participating third-party advertising through YourAdChoices. These external settings are separate from any site consent choice; opting out of personalisation does not necessarily prevent all advertising or all technical storage.
Document contents, filenames, passwords, recognised text, signatures and workflow identifiers are not advertising data and are not sent to Google or advertising partners. The document application does not build advertising profiles. We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising.
No analytics run on this site. Cloudflare Web Analytics was previously added automatically by the hosting provider; it has been switched off, and the site's Content-Security-Policy independently refuses to load any third-party measurement script. The visitor counts we can see come from the hosting provider's own connection logs, which exist for every website and involve no script in your browser.
Analytics and advertising serve different purposes and must not be treated as one permission. Neither is active today. If either is introduced, this policy is updated before it starts, and any permission it requires is requested first. Contact our privacy team below with a question or objection about current processing.
Preferences saved on your device
If you choose a colour theme, preview size or favourite tools, that preference can be saved on your device for up to 12 months. Starting or continuing a workflow temporarily saves a copy of your PDF in this browser so the next tool can open it. The copy is deleted when claimed. Unclaimed copies expire after one hour and are removed the next time a workflow opens, or when you clear site data below. Expiry cannot delete data while your browser is closed. These preferences and workflow copies are not used for advertising or profiling.
The OCR tool requests language files from this website when needed, without sending your document or recognized text. Like other websites, site files may remain in your browser's ordinary cache. Use your browser's site-data settings to clear that cache.
Browser storage is not a private vault or guaranteed secure deletion service. People with access to the same browser profile may be able to access saved data. Downloads, browser extensions, device backups and operating-system recovery features are controlled separately; clearing Filozy data cannot remove every copy they may hold. On a shared device, save results somewhere you control, clear local data and close the tool tabs when finished.
Removes saved preferences, unclaimed workflow files and the older OCR language cache. Close other Filozy tabs if asked. Downloaded files and your browser's ordinary website cache are not removed.
Website hosting
The site is hosted by Cloudflare Pages. The hosting provider may receive ordinary connection information, such as your IP address, requested page, browser headers and access time, when it delivers the website. That request does not include the contents of a document you selected for a local tool. Cloudflare's privacy statement identifies the provider and explains its processing.
Our service providers may process connection information and correspondence outside Canada, where other countries' laws and lawful access requirements can apply. This does not move the documents processed by local tools out of your browser.
External links
If you follow a link to another website, that site's privacy policy applies. Filozy does not control external services.
Children and sensitive information
The service is not directed to children and is not a regulated document repository. Keep your original files and avoid sharing confidential documents or passwords in public.
Security and lawful requests
Local processing reduces document transmission, but no website, browser, device or email service is risk-free. Keep your browser and device updated. Report a suspected security or privacy problem to [email protected] without sending passwords or sensitive documents.
We may need to preserve or disclose information we actually hold, such as relevant correspondence, when required by applicable law or a valid legal process. That does not give us access to documents stored only in your browser. Our legal duties to protect personal information still apply.
Your choices and rights
You control the documents and preferences kept in your browser and can remove them using the controls above or your browser settings. Depending on the law that applies and the information processed, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or receive personal information, object to or restrict its use, and complain to a data-protection authority. Connection information processed by the hosting provider is covered by its privacy statement.
Send requests about correspondence or other information we hold to [email protected]. We cannot retrieve or erase files kept only on your device remotely. You do not have to give up a privacy right, complaint or legal remedy to use a tool or contact us.
For Canadian privacy concerns, you can also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. Visitors elsewhere may contact their applicable privacy authority. We handle requests under the deadlines and rights that apply to the information and your circumstances.
